We Are Rooted In the Word of God
Everything we do - how we preach, speak, act and live - will be rooted in the immutable Word of God.
“Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do.”
(James 1:22-25)
We Are Enthusiastic Worshippers
Our worship of God will be wholehearted. Though we love to gather weekly to worship God in song, our worship will always include an offering of our lives, our time, our money and our resources.
“Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.”
(Romans 12:1)
We Are Authentic Witnesses
We will find unique and creative ways to share the Good News of Jesus. We will boldly share how that Good News has changed our lives, personally.
“Then, leaving her water jar, the woman went back to the town and said to the people, “Come, see a man who told me everything I ever did. Could this be the Messiah?”
(John 4:28-29)
We Are Empowered by the Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is our constant companion, who guides us, corrects us and empowers us to live fully alive in Christ.
“…and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms.”
(Ephesians 1:19-20)
We Are Uniquely Gifted to Serve
Each of us has been spiritually gifted for ministry. Therefore we will develop and exercise these gifts to equip God's people, build up his church, and transform our communities.
“…to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up…”
(Ephesians 4:12)
We Are A Community of Prayer
Prayer isn't something we do; it's who we are, so we will cover all areas of our church and life in prayer.
“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
(1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)
