Cariboo Kids FAQ

  • Where do I drop off my kid(s)?

Our Cariboo Kids check-in desk is in the lobby! Look for our bright “Cariboo Kids” banner to the left of the Worship Center entrance

    Check-in

Upon arrival at the check-in desk, if it’s your first time, a dedicated Cariboo Kids leader will kindly collect essential information from you and your child, including your cell phone number in case your child requires your attention during the service. You'll receive a name tag for your child, along with a corresponding parent pick-up tag. Our registration leader will then assist you in finding the appropriate classroom, introduce you to the teacher, and address any queries you may have.

    Pick-Up Procedure

To prioritize your child's safety, please note that they will only be released when you present the parent's corresponding tag during pick-up. This ensures a secure and reassuring experience for both you and your child.

  • What curriculum do you use?

We currently use “The Gospel Project” for our Preschool and Elementary age groups. This curriculum is a Christ-centered weekly Bible study that journeys through the bible chronologically and connects everything back to “God’s plan to rescue His people through His Son, Jesus Christ.”

    The Gospel Project’s main focuses:

    THE GOSPEL STORY

From Genesis the Revelation, we celebrate the redemptive plan that unfolds throughout all Scripture.

    GOSPEL CULTURE

We believe the gospel ultimately draws us into community and helps us develop a culture that is saturated by grace and the gospel.

    GOSPEL MISSION

Good news is contagious, and The Gospel Project encourages people of all ages to live invitationally—at home and around the world.

  • What is a Small Group Model?

In our Elementary (Kindergarten-Grade 5) program we introduce the children to the “Small Group Model.” Every Sunday, we come together as a large group to learn from scripture. Then, we split into mixed groups by age:

    Kindergarten & Grade 1

    Grade 2 & Grade 3

    Grade 4 & Grade 5

Each week in small groups, the leader and the children will have a time of connection before discussing the bible story. They will talk about their weeks and collect prayer requests. The group will get to know each other and feel more comfortable as time goes on. We believe this time of prayer and connection is an essential part of young people becoming followers of Jesus.

This discipleship model requires consistent leaders. We ask our leaders to serve biweekly or weekly to foster close connections in small groups.

  • What are your safety policies & procedures?

Our leaders are Plan to Protect® certified for the safety of your children. (Learn more: https://www.plantoprotect.com/en/about-us/)

Our main policies & procedures at Cariboo Kids:

    Two Leaders

There should be a minimum of 2 leaders in a room with children, except in an emergency situation.

    Open Door Policy

If 2 leaders cannot be in a room with children, there must be an open door or window to the room with a leader in the hallway.

    Ratios

    Nursery - 1 adult: 3 children

    Preschool - 1 adult: 4-5 children

    K-5 - 1 adult: 15 children

    Name Tags

All children in Nursery, Preschool and Elementary programs must wear name tags at all times. Their name tags have their parent or guardian contact information and important information about allergies.

    Visitors

All adult visitors must fill out a Cariboo Kids’ Observer/Visitor Sign-In form and wear a visitor badge at all times while in the rooms.

    Bullying Policy

We have a zero-tolerance policy for bullying. Bullying is intentional and repetitive. If bullying has been identified, the Director will be informed and will connect with children and families involved.

    Discipline and Classroom Management

Protecting the children’s emotional and physical safety is our top priority. When a child displays inappropriate behaviour, we must respond to them in a loving and intentional way. No form of physical discipline is acceptable in any of our programs.

When We Call a Parent or Guardian

Leaders will call or text parents or guardians if their child doesn’t settle after 10 minutes of distress or if there are safety or first aid concerns.

Senior Youth

Are you a high school student wanting to get connected and have fun? We get together weekly on Tuesday nights from 7-9pm.

  • More Information

CRCF Youth exists to help students become fully alive through the transformative power of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Each youth night is centered around key pillars: Play, Pray, Reach, and Teach. Through engaging activities and community, students experience joy and connection, while also building meaningful relationships with peers and leaders. Small groups foster deep conversations and personal growth, helping students thrive in their faith and lives.

Our focus is on teaching the Word of God, encouraging students to trust in its guidance to become more like Jesus. Through prayer, evangelism, and baptism, students are empowered to live out their faith, share their testimonies, and become part of a supportive community that prays and cares for one another. CRCF Youth is a place for students to have fun, grow spiritually, and be seen and known in a way that makes them fully alive in Christ.

High school students in grades 9-12 are invited to come hang out with us on Youth Nights. Every Tuesday at 7pm we get together for a time of hanging out, playing games, hearing a message from our Youth Minister Alex, building community in small groups, and learning how to pray and worship God together. Keep in the loop of what we’re up to by following us on Instagram!

Ages 18-30

Young Adults

Are you a young adult looking for a vibrant community to be a part of? We get together on Fridays at 7-9pm for worship, snacks, connection & prayer.

  • More Information

It can be a challenge to be a young adult today. Many find themselves without a firm faith foundation. Young adult lives are plagued with inconsistency, competing priorities, materialism, loneliness, and a pressure to always be performing and succeeding.

This can lead to a life that puts Jesus on the back burner. Instead they live lives that only pursue worldly treasures, lack grace and mercy toward others, idolize inconsistency and relativism, and leave little space for an authentic relationship with the church and with others. Young adults find themselves alone with few safe and authentic places to turn for help. Because of this, many young adults are at risk of walking away from Jesus entirely.

That’s why at CRCF Young Adults we are passionate about providing a safe and authentic community that is founded on truth, focuses on service, promotes prayer, and builds trust among peers and with God.

Because at CRCF Young Adults, we believe every young adult can become a leader for Christ in their church, school, family, and workplace.

Gathering Regularly, Growing Faithfully, and Using Our Gifts Generously.

The later years of life represent some of the most significant changes in a person's life. Some of us are either winding up our careers or enjoying the freedom of retirement. Those of us with families, our kids move out and start families of their own. And some have had life-long friends or partners who have gone on to be with the Lord.

These changes can be overwhelming and disorienting and, if not appropriately handled, can cause us to miss a powerful God-given opportunity.

That's why at Encouragers, the seniors ministry at CRCF, we are passionate about supporting seniors to be an encouragement in the best years of their life.
